ABOUT

"Milwaukee Niggunim" is brought to you by the popular blog, Doleh Umashkeh (damesek), which brings you divrei Torah and shiurim, minhagim, stories and more from Hornosteipel and Milwaukee, all geared to help us grow continuously in service of Hashem and ahavas Yisroel under the guidance of our revered and beloved Rebbe, Rav Michel Twerski, shlit"a.

At the suggestion and encouragement of the Rebbe, shlit"a, the kehilla is presently attempting to widen its repertoire of niggunim.

With such a wealth of strong musical and creative resources in our community, starting with the Rebbe, shlit"a, and many other members of the Beth Yehudah shul, the hope is that we can take advantage of all the opportunities we have to grow closer to Hashem and each other through music and song.

In an effort to integrate new melodies into our portfolio, this site is devoted, to disseminating 'new' niggunim throughout our community via the web and other means. When the Rebbe composes a new nigun it will be made available to all right here on this site. All the new niggunim that we are trying to learn and incorporate into the davening or tishen will be posted here for everyone to learn.

“Milwaukee Niggunim” has been facilitated by Shiru La’Shem (a CBJ initiative).  For a wealth of additional material compiled through Shiru La'Shem, visit their website (at this time for CBJ
members only).
